Old Dairy Studios is showcasing an artists and craftsman’s trail over a long weekend at the end of May 2018.
It starts on Friday 25th and continues on to Bank Holiday Monday 28th inclusively.
Entry is free and all studios will be open from 11am to 5pm.
We ran a very successful trails in 2015, 2016 & 2017 and this is a similar event.
Individual approach was important in forming this group. All artists are established practitioners working in a wide range of media from printmaking, collage and painting to textiles and crafts. We have artists working with intricate techniques in cut paper, in appliqué and embroidery, expressive painting and lino-cuts. In addition, hand made drawing pens, carved wood, finely detailed watercolours and more. You’ll be able to see work in progress, ask questions about practices and buy pieces.
With a hub in Beccles, the trail extends to Brampton in the south, a total of 5 miles. Wheatacre artists are not exhibiting this year. Venues are in artists studios, houses and Old Dairy Studios. You’ll be able to see samples of work from all those taking part at the gallery in Beccles, pick up maps, ask questions relating to the trail and artists taking part etc. Beccles itself is a busy market town with plenty of cafés, restaurants and pubs for refreshments. You can cycle the trail or use public transport for Beccles and Brampton.
Some artists may welcome visitors at other times of the year too. Check on the individual artist's screen from the ARTISTS menu.
